paper pulp fiction #17 A-E-colorsynchronization

material: cotton fiber/ handmade paper modules, linen/ lose canvas weave, gouache and graphite. Size each peace: 195 x 40 cm, 2015

Handmade, endlessly interchangeable paper modules are the image carriers for high-resolution images. A loose ensemble of color atmosphere images on a modular paper mash. The balance of the additive color mixing applied through dot pattern air-brush color, undergoes an harmonization by overlaying each specific gouache color. In contrast to the technical standards of color synchronization the decision of color harmony or disharmony concerns to the artists intuition.

This piece is part of an ongoing series with the same title; paper pulp fiction.

The paper pulp is used to fabricate the material. the infinitely repeating system of interconnected modules forms the base to apply visual fiction.

The english word fiction : invention, making up things , is represented in the graphic way the artwork is created.
